Scheduling Your Lesson Time
Private music lessons are held at a regular day & time each week. Lessons are 30 or 45 minutes each. Bi-monthly or monthly lessons are not offered.
Due to the location in which I give lessons, I can only teach children (5 yrs & older), teenagers, and adult women at this time.
Lesson Rates
The rate is $25 per 30-minute lesson. 45-minute lessons are also optional at a rate of $40. Tuition is paid on a monthly basis, with the full monthly rate due at the beginning of the month (during the 1st lesson). For example, a student owes $100 in a typical month (4 weeks (4 lessons total) @ $25/lesson = $100 for the month).
Your first month of lessons will be pro-rated, depending on how many weeks are left in the month.
I accept payment via Venmo, Apple Pay, cash, or check.
Family/Sibling Discounts
If you have more than one child taking piano lessons I am happy to discuss a sibling discount.
I will answer questions or discuss financially limiting concerns on an individual basis.
Missed Lessons
The monthly lesson payment covers a student's weekly time slot; therefore, refunds are not usually issued for missed lessons. Make-up lessons may be considered for an upcoming lesson with which a student has a conflict, as long as notice is given at least 24 hours in advance. Same-day lesson cancellations will not be refunded.
I understand that unexpected sickness and conflicts do happen, and I will do my best to make up any missed lessons. However, I do reserve the right to refuse an excessive number of make-up lessons or give away a student's time slot if that student is repeatedly cancelling, asking for make-ups, arriving tardy, making late payments, or not showing up.
Discontinuing Lessons
If advance notice is given of a student's intent to discontinue lessons, the student's last month of payment will be pro-rated.
However, if a student cancels lessons mid-month, the remainder of the month's lesson payments will not be refunded. Consequently, it is in a student's best interest to continue through the end of the month.
